Kevin Burns Statement on National Teachers Appreciation Day

CHATHAM COUNTY – For National Teachers Appreciation Day, Kevin Burns released the following statement:

"On National Teachers Appreciation Day, I want to express my deep gratitude to the educators who play an indispensable role in shaping our children's lives. Teachers are the heart and soul of our nation, and their impact extends far beyond the classroom walls. America's teachers aren't just educating our children—they also help guide our nation's future.

 

Teachers serve as guiding lights, illuminating the path for our youth. Beyond academics, teachers impart essential life skills—empathy, kindness, and respect. These qualities shape not only successful individuals but also a compassionate society. And when a child veers off course, teachers help them find their way back. They are powerful agents in preventing our youth from heading down destructive paths. They show that success doesn't require shortcuts or harmful choices.
