FEATURED PLANS

My goal as your next Sheriff is to be direct and transparent with you. While no plan is flawless, I firmly believe that my proposal includes well-researched and fact-based solutions.

I have sat at countless kitchen tables, in living rooms, and on front porches to hear the issues that matter to you most. My plan isn't based on whims or political expediency. It's grounded in evidence, studies, and real-world applications.

No plan can fix every issue comprehensively. I won't promise miracles or utopian outcomes. Instead, I offer practical solutions that can make a tangible difference. I pledge to listen to you, learn from our community, and adapt to your needs.

And here's where our campaign stands out: I am the only candidate in this election who has a detailed plan—the only candidate with a plan, period. My opponents may offer you vague promises, but we know our next Sheriff should be honest and upfront with you.

Elections are about choosing the best path forward. I invite you to examine my plan closely, ask questions, and hold me accountable. Together, we can build a stronger and more resilient Chatham County. That's my personal promise to you.

HERE'S OUR PLAN

1

2

Protect and defend Chatham County from violent criminals

Audit the county jail and treat people like

human beings

3

Recruit 200 officers to prevent crime and prioritize retention

4

Appoint a team to handle and reform mental health policies correctly

Effective Public Safety

Our county is growing quickly, yet the Chatham County Sheriff's Office operates behind the times. Public safety is paramount to our daily lives and you should feel safe in our community, not fearful when you step out of your home. Due to stagnant leadership, our county has become more dangerous than the City of Atlanta. I will work closely with other police municipalities within the county to help protect and defend our community from dangerous criminals.

Audit the County Jail

As a former corrections officer in the Chatham County Detention Center, I've had the privilege of serving my community in numerous capacities. One of the things I consider profoundly important is the safety and well-being of those living in the county jail. During my career, I've seen too many incidents within the detention center where inmates' rights were restricted, their basic needs ignored, and their safety threatened. 19 inmates have died over the past 7 years, numerous civilian and law enforcement staff have been fired for gross misconduct, and contractors fail to provide the services that your tax dollars pay for.

Recruitment and Retention

Deputies face high-stress situations, long hours, and emotional strain, all while putting their lives on the line each day for the betterment of our community. While my opponent has pedaled excuses for eight years, I recognize the important of hiring top-tier talent.

If you agree with our plan, then your support is crucial in electing the sheriff that Chatham County deserves.

Consider helping the campaign below

Proper Training for Deputies

In order to maintain a high level of professionalism and effectiveness, it is crucial for sheriff's deputies to undergo proper mandatory training. This training not only ensures that deputies are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out their duties, but it also plays a crucial role in building trust between law enforcement and the community. I believe that when we invest in our officers, we are investing in the safety our of community.

Mental Health Services

As a society, it is our responsibility to ensure that all individuals have access to the necessary resources to maintain their physical and mental well-being. However, it is clear that our current system is failing to provide adequate mental health services for those who need it most. In fact, Georgia ranks 50th in access to mental health services.

Crisis Training

Too often, we see incidents where law enforcement's response to a crisis results in tragedy and injustice. In order to prevent these situations from occurring, we must prioritize providing comprehensive crisis training to all law enforcement officers. This training should focus on de-escalation techniques, cultural competency, and mental health awareness.

Values and Morals

The role of a Sheriff is multifaceted, encompassing law enforcement, community leadership, and public service. I will always uphold integrity and honesty, fairness and impartiality, compassion and empathy, and accountability and responsibility to you.

Drug Reform

it is essential to take a clear and concise stance on this issue, and I recognize the need for transformative changes in our current approach to drug use and enforcement. One crucial aspect of drug reform that must be addressed is the rise in fentanyl use and the dangers it poses to our society. Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin, has seen a significant increase in use and is responsible for a rising number of overdose deaths. In fact, drug overdoses caused by fentanyl in Chatham County increased by more than 45% in 2023. I firmly believe that fentanyl must be a top priority in our drug reform efforts.
